Quick Guide to Starting ECart
 
1.  Plug cart into electric outlet.

2.  Unlock and pull out laptop cart drawer; unlock and pull out projector cart drawer.

3.  Adjust the foot of the projector for optimal viewing.  The projector will automatically perform focus and keystone adjustments.

4. Press the on button on the Elmo Switcher

5.  Press the on button on the projector.  It will turn from red to blue.

6. Connect the laptop to the internet.  If you do not have wifi access, connect using the cable in your room.

7.   Turn on computer. 


8.  Sign on to the computer by clicking on the Administrator Locked icon.

On the desktop, you will find a folder named "Smart Cart #   Projects".  Please open the folder and create a folder named for your cluster.  Please place inside your cluster folder a copy of your application for the Smart Cart and any other documents or work you do using the Smart Cart.

You will also find on the desktop a folder named "Technical Support".  Inside the folder is a Report Form for describing any technical issues you encounter with the Smart Cart and the e-mail address where you should send your inquiry.

10. To switch projection from the computer to the Elmo Document Camera, select the Document Camera button on the Switcher.

11.  To switch projection to an iPad: connect the black Apple HDMI cord to the projector.

Connect the other end of the black HDMI cable into the white Apple connector cord.  Plug the other end of the white cord into your iPad.

12.  Press the Source button on the projector and use arrows  (see#6 above) to select HDMI.


13.  To use CRA-1 Elmo Wireless Slate/Tablet, press the on button.  If the button is flashing or off, the tablet needs to be re-charged.  There is a cable coming out of the Switcher that fits into the tablet for re-charging.  Refer to the instruction manual.

14.  The tablet's Wireless adapter is inserted in the computer's USB port. Once the tablet is charged, the Wireless adapter allows you to use the tablet untethered to the computer.  The tablet's pen has a battery installed and  is stored on the back side of the tablet.
        The tablet has many features to master; please refer to the  instruction manual.


Quick Guide to Closing ECart

1.  Turn off projector by pushing the on/off button on the projector.  You will be prompted as to whether you really want to power off the projector.  Press the on/off button again to cut power.

2.  Turn off the computer by shut down.

3.  Turn off the Elmo document camera by pushing the on/off button on the camera.

4.  Press the off button on the Elmo Switcher.

5.  Close the laptop cover and carefully push the laptop drawer closed on the cart and lock.

6.  Lower the foot on the projector and carefully push the projector drawer closed on the cart and lock.

7.  Unplug cart from outlet or turn power off on surge protector.
