Massachusetts Comprehensive Assessment System
LOOKING for WAYS to IMPROVE your MCAS scores?

Study Island (Math)

Students log on to www.studyisland.com to access the program.  According to Study Island, students who have fully completed the program have seen an average of a 12.2 percent increase in scores on the state-mandated Massachusetts Comprehensive Assessment System (MCAS) test.  Completing this program takes anywhere for 10 to 50 hours depending on the student's academic performance level.  USING STUDY ISLAND FROM HOME | EN ESPANOL

Students may sign up in the Cullen Library (978.5356.4826) for after school help with this program.  Please contact Ms. Smoller, Library Media Specialist, for more information.

MCAS Most Recent and Archived Test Item Review
The Massachusetts Department of Education has released recent test items with answer keys to help students improve their scores.  To view these test items, visit http://www.doe.mas.edu/mcas/testitems.html and select the appropriate grade and content area.  Print the packet, review the questions, and ask your friends, family, or teachers for help with any questions that you are unsure of.  If you are not able to print a packet and would like one, please see your guidance counselor.

After School Help
All teachers stay after school at lease one day per week to offer assistance to students.  Please see your teachers, guidance counselor for a schedule.  The Cullen Library is open from 2:30 to 3:15 p.m. on Tuesdays.
