In-Service Workshop - Course Number: FY10-0229-C2107-C2110

CPR and AED Training

Description:  This American Heart Association CPR Training Program is designed to provide training for the lay rescuer in the techniques of Adult and Child CPR, the Heimlich maneuver and the use of the Automated External Defibrillator (AED).  This program is designed for all staff.

Section 1#2107: Tuesday, November 5, 2009.  2:30-6:30 p.m. - Instructor: Dan Hayes
Section 2 #C2108: Tuesday, November 17, 2009.  2:30 - 6:30 p.m. - Instructor: Domenic Coleman
Section 3 #C2109: Tuesday, December 1, 2009.  2:30 - 6:30 p.m.  - Instructor: Kathy Pingree
Section 4 #2110: Thursday, January 21, 2010.  3:30 - 7:30 p.m. - Instructor: Maria Caruso

Location: PVMHS, Room A328

Enrollment: Open to all staff K-12, including support staff. Max of 8 students per instructor, minimum of 4 to run class.

Credit:  Participants will receive 4 PDPs (professional staff) in Health and will become certified in CPR and AED.  To secure PDPs and certification, one must complete one of the above sections and meet the requirements specified by the instructors. Those wishing to attend must complete an "In-Service Education Registration" form, sign it, and file it in the Office of the Assistant Superintendent by the registration due date.  This is a non-credit class.
