In-Service Workshop - Course Number: FY10-0229-C2103

Integrating Technology and our PPS Network Across Any Curriculum, Part 2
(No Prerequisite Required)

Description:  This course presents an overview of computers in education including learning the basics along with productivity tools such as word processing, spreadsheets, databases and graphics.  Students will survey examples of educational software, Microsoft Office programs, and useful strategies on how to effectively utilize the Peabody Public Schools Network.  Participants will be able to create useful teaching tools for integrating technology into any classroom.

Meeting Schedule: Tuesday, November 17, December 1, 8 & 15:30 - l, 2009 - 3:30 - 6:30 p.m.

Location: Higgins Middle School, Computer Lab/Room 51

Enrollment: Maximum of 20 participants.  Open to all K-12 Staff and Administration. Participants DO NOT have to have completed Part 1 to participate.)

Instructor: Erika Sandstron, Technology Integration Specialist/Computer Technology Teacher, Grades 6-8

Credit:  Participants will receive one in-service credit (12 PDPs) in Technology.  To secure one credit, one must attend all sessions and meet requirements specified by the Instructor.  Those applying for credit must complete an "In-Service Education Registration" form, sign it, and file it in the Office of the Assistant Superintendent by the registration due date.
