Pre-K Program
Students who are eligible to attend
the Title I Pre-K Program reside in the Carroll, Welch, or Brown
school districts and will turn four years old on or before Sept. 1,
2009. A highly qualified teacher and paraprofessional
provide young children with the early
learning experiences that will enable them to meet academic
standards throughout elementary and secondary school. Some goals
of the Pre-K program include guiding children towards a healthy and
positive self-image while building social skills and developing
early literacy skills. During the FY 2010 School Year the Title I
Pre-Kindergarten will begin to undergo the National Association for
Education of Young Children (NAEYC) accreditation process.
