We're making a Maker Space!
Higgins Middle School Library Amazon WishlistDay 5 in the Library is now Maker Day for a Grade 8 cluster. A limited number of students from one cluster come to the Library during Academic Support, CE and REACH to use the Library's maker materials.
On January 4, students from Pisces visited the library to program and race Sphero robots, explore Little Bits kits and race paper airplanes.
The goal of the Higgins Maker Space is to provide all students with the place, tools and learning opportunities they need to become inspired creators and explorers of digital literacy, coding literacy and invention literacy. The Higgins Maker Space houses tools for 3D fabrication, graphic design and printing, green screening, computer programming, and sound recording.
