Visiting West Memorial During School Hours
Parents/guardians are always welcome at the West Memorial School. We always appreciate the connection between home and school. If you are visiting West between the hours of 8:50 A.M. -2:55 P.M. please park on Bow Street unless you are volunteering for an extended time during the day. If you are staying for quite a while during our school hours, you may park in the front parking lot. Please be mindful to watch for students if you leave this lot during the opening or closing of school. Students do cross the front parking lot on the yellow lined area to get to Bow Street or enter the school. If you require handicap spaces, there are two in our front parking lot area. Please see the school principal so that he can give you a sign to be able to park in one of these spaces.

    Visiting Rules and Guidelines
•If you are dropping off an item to your child, please inform the school secretary, Mrs. Vassallo, and your child will be called to the office to pick it up. Please do not bypass the office and go to the classroom to deliver it. This disrupts the classroom routine and student learning.
•Please always call the school early (before noon) if there is a change in how your child is going to go home as it becomes increasingly busy in the office at the end of the day close to dismissal.
•Please make use of the parent information center located outside the office door in the front foyer on the wall. It is full of current information about programs being offered in the city or information parents can read about curriculum materials.  Take time to take a look.
